Providence Rehabilitation Tech in San Pedro, California

Description:

Providence is calling a Rehabilitation Tech (Per diem/Day shift) to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA.

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Tech who will be responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, transporting and positioning patients, procurement of inventory / supplies and in general assisting patients, therapists and assistant in the is successful completion of the treatment plan. The Rehab Tech may also be assigned routine clerical support tasks to support the patient care process. These functions are carried out according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

In this position you will:

  • The rehab aide is directly supervised by the physical or occupational therapist

  • Provide assistance to therapists and assistants with provision of therapy treatments

  • Keep general work area clean and safe

  • Perform clerical duties accurately and timely

  • Prepare necessary equipment for patient treatments

  • Clean clinical equipment and treatment areas per departmental policy

  • Assure the patient/family rights are respected and maintained

  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrate ability to operate and use clinical equipment

  • Information Management:

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the hospital information system

  • Maintain complete confidentiality of all patient and hospital-related information

  • Written communication is legible and organized

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the hospital information system and confidentiality policies

  • Perform billing duties accurately and timely

  • Leadership and Supervision:

  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate (verbal or written) in a positive, clear and professional manner

  • Assist with orientation of volunteers and peers

  • Demonstrate good listening skills, respond to needs and requests of others quickly and efficiently

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Requires understanding of Rehab services goals and objectives

  • Requires good working knowledge of general and specialized clinical equipment

  • Requires ability to organize and prioritize work, completes assignments on time

  • Requires ability to establish and maintain a courteous and cooperative working relationship with patients, families and coworkers

  • Requires the ability to work effectively with a team
